Smartflex-465 is a high-performance, low-modulus, one-component polyurethane sealant specially designed for bus body manufacturing and assembly applications. It cures with atmospheric moisture to form a tough, flexible and durable elastomeric sealant with excellent adhesion to FRP, metal, aluminum and coated metal surfaces. Its flexible formulation helps accommodate vibration, movement and thermal expansion commonly experienced in vehicle bodies. Smartflex-465 offers excellent weather resistance, primerless adhesion and non-sag performance, making it suitable for vertical and overhead applications. It can be used for FRP-to-metal bonding, panel joints, roof and side panel sealing, window and door sealing, body seams and large-area bonding or sealing. The cured sealant is paintable, easy to tool and designed for long-lasting performance in demanding bus body applications.
